When I am in the mood for a good simple bagel, the posh bagel comes to mind.  No gimmicks just straight forward simple good bagels, sandwiches, pastries. I really love my turkey bagel sandwich on jalapeño cheese bagel with my choice of ingredients (more jalapeños ease!). Never disappoints the bagel always seems fresh. I have had the pastries. Double chocolate muffin is real good (always moist ). I have had the lox and cream cheese .... yum

I have had plain bagel and cream cheese yum!

I don't live close by anymore so when I make a stop I make sure to take stuff to go!

Best of all I love supporting a small business so another plus in my book!

Given the area and demographics of the area, I feel like the bad reviews are just the pretentious folks...

It's worth the try if you want something simple and good!

These people are morons.  There's no nicer way to put it.  After years of trying to remember orders (they wouldn't even write them down on paper) and invariably screwing them up -- literally making a mistake in any order with more than 3 bagels -- they finally invested in an automation system where they enter the order into a system.

So today, when it's not even crowded, the guy saunters up asks for my order -- a single bagel -- starts tapping on the screen -- and then literally asks me to repeat every component of my order (garlic bagel, sliced lox, cream cheese, red onion), clearly demonstrating that he wasn't LISTENING the first time.  But somehow, someway, somehow -- despite me saying it twice and him entering it into the system - he manages to screw up the order -- when I get home I find it's on an onion bagel.  Silly me, I thought with the automation system I wouldn't have to verify every order -- even for a single bagel -- before leaving.

By the way, the bagels are not "real" bagels -- they're not boiled before baking, so they're not even that good.  Go to House of Bagels in Mountain View or Izzy's in Palo Alto for a real bagel with competent people making them.

Not endorsing west coast bagels or anything, but if you REALLY want bread in a toric shape, any of the Posh Bagel locations would be sufficient.

They have a pretty big selection of flavours, and you can turn pretty much any of them into a breakfast sandwich or a regular sandwich. The eggs are microwaved like in most bagel places, so don't expect any gourmet gooiness.

The good thing about a Posh Bagel is the environment - it's always quite nice to sit in comparing to most other bagel shops, and they've also got a bit more space as well. This one, being in Menlo Park, also makes for one of the most affordable places to eat at.

Came back again and tried the eggwich sausage with extra cheese and added avocado. My stomach was totally satisfied and their Thai tea with boba was on point!

The Posh Bagel is one of those places that I've been going to since I was a kid - and it really hasn't changed much! Posh is first and foremost a bagel shop, but it is also a place where you can gather with friends and family, people-watch while sipping your coffee, or grab a quick, filling breakfast on-the-go.

Parking can be a little tricky, especially during the busiest hours, but never fear! There is parking around the backside of the stores along Main Street so you'll find a space somewhere close by. My favorite bagels are the chocolate chip and marinara. I've also had their jalapeno, sesame seed, and plain bagels (all fantastic). Their cream cheese is so good, and their bagel sandwiches are great as well. The only reason I took off a star is because of the prices, which are a little higher than you'd expect to pay for a bagel, but then again you are in Los Altos!

Stop into The Posh Bagel for a filling breakfast (or lunch), or to pick up bagels for your next event. They've got great coffee and other drinks to go with your meal, friendly, fast service, and the store is clean.
